There is no magic in creating a wardrobe that suits you, makes you feel great and gives you confidence. Style is always a combination of your personality, body and clothes.
But you need some courage, experimentation, the ability to accept help and guidance and most of all, knowing yourself and your body. If you feel happy with the way you look, you will feel great and act with confidence and make a great impression on your peers.
My thorough understanding of female bodies and how to build outfits that flatter and feel confidence-enhancing has been build over 25 years through my work in couture & high-end fashion, creating garments for the Bolshoi, Brides & Business Women. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in Fashion, Costume (making Ballet and Opera costumes for the places like renowned Bolshoi and Metropolitan Opera in NY) and run my own Bridal Couture business in the OXO Tower, in London. Crucially, I learned how to look at the human body with all its unique characteristics, as well as posture.
Creating couture takes all this into account – it’s about visual balance and making clothes work for you.
I trained in colour, of course, but not only about what colours suit a person, but also how different fabric textures affect colours and can determine what kind of garment might work for one body, but not another.
Having worked as Designer and Personal Stylist, I believe that every woman can find a style that suits her personality and body perfectly.
And the one big thing I took away from all those years working with women of all shapes and sizes, is that you don’t have to be slim to look great.
To me, it’s all about the fit - your clothes should fit your body 100% - whether you buy designer clothes, bespoke or made-to-measure outfits. Clothes that fit and are aligned with you - in style, quality and colour - will make you feel different and open doors. In line with your career goals. So, you can go to the top.
